An American comb-back Windsor chair
An American comb-back Windsor chair, timbers used are White Oak (USA), Tulip Wood (USA), Maple (USA) Steamed Beech (USA) and bog oak wedges. The finish is two/three coats of red milk paint followed by two coats of black milk paint and finally three or more coats of Danish oil. An elegant traditional chair who's design originates from the East coast of the USA as researched by master chairmaker Curtis Buchanan of Jonesborough, Tennessee. Each chair is unique and handcrafted using homemade tools, e.g rounders, trapping planes and reamers.
